Combined use of multiple laser profile sensorsIn many scanning applications, a single sensor cannot scan the workpiece completely, and the parallel arrangement of multiple sensors is an ideal solution. At this time, a plurality of sensors are arranged at different positions around the workpiece to capture various angles or different areas of the workpiece. In order to support multi_sensor parallel connection, all sensors in the whole system must first be aligned according to a common coordinate system to determine the relative position. For this purpose, a known shape (e.g., quadrilateral) is usually introduced into the scanning plane. Each sensor "sees" one vertex of the polygon. The smart sensor can then calculate the position of each sensor and convert the data into a common coordinate system. This conversion is performed automatically for each 3D point generated by the sensor. TSINGBO PHOTONICS the official SDK of the laser profile sensor has supported the calibration of multiple sets.
